What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on a visitor’s device when the site is viewed. They allow the site to remember information about the visitor’s preferences, actions, and device. Essential cookies

- ae_consent – Set by Aesthetic Education to record the visitor’s cookie-consent choice. Persistent; expires after 1 year.
- __cf_bm (Cloudflare) – Set by Cloudflare to identify trusted web traffic and protect the site from malicious activity. Session; cleared when the browser is closed.
- LiveChat session cookies – Set by LiveChat, Inc. to keep a live-chat session active while the visitor is on the page. Session; cleared when the chat ends or the browser is closed.
Analytics cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use the site so we can improve the experience. They are only placed after the visitor gives explicit consent via the cookie banner.
- _ga – Google Analytics identifier. Persistent; expires after 2 years.
- _ga_L6SFMCMDJ7 – Google Analytics for specific site-wide data. Persistent; expires after 2 years.
- _gid – Google Analytics identifier for a 24-hour period. Persistent; expires after 24 hours.
- _gat – Used by Google Analytics to throttle request rate. Persistent; expires after 1 minute.
- Google Tag Manager container cookie – Enables Google Tag Manager to fire tags. Session; cleared when the browser is closed.
Third-party cookies
In addition to the cookies listed above, the following third-party services may set their own cookies when a visitor interacts with the site.
- Google Analytics 4 & Google Tag Manager – Collects IP address, device, browser, pages viewed, referral URL, and approximate location for statistical analysis. Retention follows Google’s default settings (typically 14 months).
- LiveChat, Inc. – Stores chat transcript data and the visitor’s typed messages while a chat session is active.
- Google reCAPTCHA – Sets cookies to verify that a form submission is made by a human. The privacy policy and terms of Google apply.
- Vimeo – When a visitor plays an embedded video, Vimeo may set cookies to remember playback preferences.
- Cloudflare – Processes the visitor’s IP address for security and performance optimization.
How we obtain consent
When a visitor first arrives at Aesthetic Education, a cookie banner is displayed. The banner explains that analytics cookies are disabled by default and offers a clear “Accept” button to enable them. Visitors may also click “Reject” or simply continue browsing, in which case only essential cookies are placed.
Visitors can change their consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link located in the footer of every page. The settings page allows the visitor to toggle analytics cookies on or off. The site also respects the visitor’s browser settings; if a browser blocks third-party cookies, those cookies will not be set.
Do-not-track signals
Aesthetic Education honors Do-Not-Track (DNT) signals. When a browser sends a DNT request, the site treats the visitor as if they have not given consent for analytics cookies, and only essential cookies are placed.
Managing cookies in your browser
Visitors may delete, block, or manage cookies through their browser’s privacy settings. Most browsers allow users to view which cookies are stored, delete individual cookies, or clear all cookies on a regular basis.
