The product is designed for injection by a licensed clinician after an in-person assessment and is used to smooth glabellar lines and to treat cervical dystonia.
Unlike many other botulinum toxins, Daxxify is stabilized with a peptide rather than human serum albumin, which means it does not require refrigeration before reconstitution. Its units are measured differently from Botox units and are not interchangeable. The formulation aims to provide a longer median effect compared with some other neurotoxins, though individual outcomes can vary.
How Daxxify Works
Daxxify works by temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, reducing muscle contraction in the treated area.
