Jeuveau is a neurotoxin injectable whose active ingredient is prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs. Marketed in the United States by Evolus, it received FDA approval in 2019 for cosmetic use. It is the only botulinum toxin developed purely for aesthetic purposes and carries no therapeutic indications. The product is manufactured in South Korea by Daewoong and is commonly referred to as "Newtox."
The FDA approval specifically covers treatment of glabellar lines, the vertical frown lines between the eyebrows. Use in any other facial area is considered off-label and must be decided between the patient and a qualified clinician after an in-person assessment. How Jeuveau Works
